Light pink spotting ..no period?

althought i have somewhat irregular cycles i usually can pinpoint the general time my monthly flow will come so 4 days ago within a week of time to start flow i started spotting very light pink on toilet paper it seemed like period started but then only got lighter now all day today nothing cramping like period but no period any ideas what may be goin on?
