I need serious help! My mom is seriously ill! The nursing home (hospice) took her off all her meds and are?

giving her morphine & ativan. My mom is dieing from COPD! She cannot not walk and is bed ridden. She eats only a little bit and is confined to her bed at the nursing home. How long after hospice takes a person off their meds and puts them only on morphine does a person have to live? i know only god knows but if you have any ideas please let me know!
