Had now off Yeast Infection?

I have a yeast infection and I think it was caused from my bf and me trying out a lubricant during . The day after we did that I started showing signs of a yeast infection. Is there anyway he could have gotten it since I showed no signs before having ? Just curious so I know if I should have him get checked or not.
