Guy friend likes cuddling with me? What's going on?

I asked this guy out four years ago, and he rejected me because he was into someone else then [not harshly though, but still a rejection]. We became a bit closer afterwards and sometimes, he even cuddles with me and gets all cute. It's already been four years, and, although I've accepted the fact that he probably doesn't like me, what's up with the cuddling and what's going on?
