Is the world plunging into famine?

Yes, that's why we have gardens and chickens (for eggs). We can and freeze a lot of our food and make jellies/jams. We dehydrate our herbs for use in winter months. We are able to cut down on our reliance on grocery stores. I feel sorry for people who don't have this option. We have plans to harness the wind and sun for energy (we live in the windy high desert of So Cal). We will be planting/rotating fast growing trees to harvest as wood for our wood burning stove during the cold months. We hope to have all of this in place by the time we retire. It's going to get very ugly. We can't expect our government to save us. We must get more self reliant as individuals, communities, and nationally.
