Australian living..?

Where is the best area to live in Adelaide,and where are the places to avoid living.Me and my family are starting the process of immigrating to Australia and have chosen Adelaide as a possible area to live.Has anyone got any views on this.Also what are the chances of getting a job,i am a fully trained carpenter & joiner.Also i hold a full H.G.V. licence for cli(articulated vehicles).Are wages good there ,and what prices would i expect to pay for a good sized 3/4 bedroom house...Many thanks...
